Liverpool midfielder Xabi Alonso has declared himself fit for Monday's Merseyside derby meeting with Everton.
The Spain international has been out of action since requiring stitches in a foot wound picked up in the FA Cup third-round victory over Preston North End on January 3.
Alonso sat out last weekend's goalless draw with Stoke City but has now set his sights on return to action against the Toffees at Anfield.
"I am back training. I had the stitches taken out on Monday," he told the club's official website.
"I'm still a little bit sore in that area. Right now I am able to play with the inside of my foot but my instep will be okay for Monday."
Alonso had featured in all 20 of the Reds' Premier League games before missing the trip to the Britannia Stadium.
He has made 28 appearances in all competitions for Rafael Benitez's side this season.
